(Swedish text below/Svensk text nedanför) Still the news is dominated on a daily basis by the migrant situation in Europe and the Middle East, and I continue to feel very sad when I see these people that have escaped war having to endure long bureaucratic processes and constant unwillingness from so many countries. I understand that we have to have regulations and laws to control the current situation, but I cannot help but think what pain these people are going through and they must feel that they are imprisoned in their escape from war. So I’ve added to the now growing number of paintings with this theme. Painting: Imprisoned migrant.

Flyktingkrisen i Europe och Mellanöstern fortsätter att vara högst på löpsedlarna. Jag känner en väldig sorg när jag ser dessa personer, som flytt krig, behöva genomgå långa byråkratiska processer och hanteras av ovilliga länder som helst inte vill se dem. Jag förstår att vi behöver regler för att hantera den nuvarande situationen. Men, jag hamnar ändå tillbaka i tankarna om dessa personer som måste känna sig fängslade i sin egna flykt från krig. Därför blev det ytterligare en tavla med temat flyktingkrisen. Tavla: Fängslad på flykt.
